the below
What a familiar feeling
My limbs are numb and slow
The air is heavy in my lungs
And I am sinking
But this feeling is home
What a strange place this is
I break through the ceiling
Where breathing feels like life
My ears are full
of music and roaring
I am afraid of this unfamiliar light
What an odd sensation
My face is golden and warm
To the touch
To your touch
Quickly, then it catches the tide
and washes away
and all that I hear
Is a faint whisper goodbye
I sink back down
This feeling is what I know
the flying ships and soaring souls
are from a great distance
I am below
Where my limbs are cold and slow
The air is water in my lungs
And I am drowning
But drowning feels like home
