Prologue
a friend of mine recently gifted me a book that inadvertently inspired the creation of this site and to find my artistic “territory”. Which, unbeknownst to me, had been in front of me this whole time.
I unwind between the pages of a novel. I release between the pages of a journal. I scribble lyrics to songs I've never heard on napkins and check presenters and receipt paper. I resort to strongly worded posts on Facebook for lack of an outlet for all these words that spill from my fingers with nowhere to go.
While the concept of a blog isn’t by any means new, especially to my generation, the intent with which I create this blog is to practice. To create. To make a home for all the poetry, lyrics, stories, musings that would have been posted on Facebook, scribbled on napkins or hidden in my journal. Feel free to visit.
P.S. if you’re an artist, an aspiring artist or you just need that kick in the ass to do something you’ve always wanted to, read The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. You need it. I know I did.
